Meet SilviaHi, and nice to meet you here! I am, above and beyond all irrelevancies such as age, sex and education, a person who is endlessly fascinated by the human mind. I cannot get my head around research data that suggests we only use less than 5% of our brains. I should really, considering that the evidence is all around us, in the form of misery, wars, pain, suffering and atrocities committed by humans upon humans and all other creation in general, but something in me refuses to accept that this cannot be changed now and changed easily - if we can use a part of the missing 95% to figure out how to do so. After 20 years or more of personal development, and, having partaken in one hell of a lot of different approaches, strategies and methods to make ourselves a better person, a more loving person, a happier person, a more successful person, I can see there are some deep truths that we keep coming back to, again and again:
What I mean by the last statement is that someone who heals themselves of cancer by "mind over matter" is looked upon as something special or miraculous in our society - like people used to marvel at those who could read and write in the Middle Ages. I don't think our species can afford to wait another 500 years before "mind healing" is on the curriculum of every primary school and we call those who can't re-grow an amputated limb "the learning disabled". Project Sanctuary is my first public contribution to the problem of, "Why can't people do more magical things more easily?". It's a start, and will bring forth, through it's very application, new routes of discovery. Well, I for one can't wait to find out what else there is! With best wishes Silvia
